I am presently reading Dilbert and the Way of the Weasel. It contains some Dilbert strips, some commentary, and letters from the trenches to illustrate his points. One of the letters says:
Dear Mr. Adams,
This is an actual requirement listed for a marketing job on a job-posting website:
“Proven ability to deal with the ambiguity of a rapidly changing environment.”
Why not just say “Ability to curb homicidal tendencies despite asinine leadership.”
Now I’m not sure what is more funny:
a) Their joke; or
b) That we drafted very similar wordage for the ad for openings in our department, including both “ambiguity” and “rapidly-changing environment.”
I report, you decide.

Proven ability to not choke the living s*** out of some a$$hole who desperately needs it?

Explanation: one of my coworkers has a sign in their office, “Stress is the condition that happens when one’s mind overrides the body’s basic desire to choke the living s*** out of some a**hole who desperately needs it.”
